I would like to thank you once again for your patience, insight and excellent coaching over the past few months. I am aware that I started with quite a vague notion of “wanting to be happier” and that, through the various discussions and exercises, you helped me to focus more clearly on what makes me happy and how to achieve it. I found the journey very thought provoking and interesting and had not appreciated that, until then, like many mothers (and perhaps women in general) I had allowed my own needs to become secondary to everyone else’s. In addition, I found that I had perhaps become a bit set in my ways and opinions. You helped me challenge myself on all that and to see things from a different viewpoint.

At the beginning I was convinced that I did not have enough time in my very busy schedule for myself. I now know that I need to – and more importantly can - prioritise as effectively in my home life as I do in my work/voluntary life and that I should not feel guilty about having “me time”.
In addition I have used the learning in my work life and you helped me identify that I was making over-negative assumptions about colleagues’ perspectives, attitudes and actions. Also, that I need to accept what I can change and what is beyond my control. This has empowered me to have some fruitful assertive (i.e. win/win) discussions with others as well as being more accepting of others’ differences.
I really do believe that the coaching and support you gave me have transformed my thinking in a number of areas and that this change will be lasting.
